Working for Wisconsin

Senator John Lehman

I am proud to stand with Mary Burke as a clear, experienced alternative to four more years of the destructive Walker-Kleefisch administration.

For Wisconsin to succeed, we need to implement a fair, living wage; restore and respect workers' rights - regardless of public or private sector employment; stop the spread of unaccountable voucher schools; stand up to wealthy special interests who are jeopardizing the health of our environment; and ensure that the government promotes access to the ballot box, instead of making it more difficult to exercise your democratic rights. Unlike our current Lieutenant Governor, I am well prepared for the role by my years of public service on the local and state level. I offer the experience of 16 years in the state legislature and my service for more than a decade on the Racine City Council. Before that, I taught high school economics and history in the Racine Unified School District.

My candidacy has been endorsed by labor, education and environmental leaders such as the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, AFSCME, Teamsters Joint Council 39, UAW Region 4, WEAC, The Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, Clean Wisconsin Action, the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin (Current and Retired), and many others.
